Famed investor Michael Burry has deregistered his hedge fund, Scion Asset Management LLC, according to records on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s website.
Burry, known as the “Big Short” investor for his prescient calls ahead of the 2008 U.S. housing market crash, recently bet against AI heavyweight Palantir Technologies and Nvidia.
Deregistering would imply the fund is not required to file reports with the SEC or any state.
